NASCAR’s three nationwide divisions will crown their season champions this weekend at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
Sunday’s Monster Power NASCAR Cup Collection Ford EcoBoost 400 caps off the weekend that begins with Friday night time’s Tenting World Truck Collection finale and continues Saturday with the XFINITY Collection Ford EcoBoost 300.
This yr’s Cup Collection title quartet consists of three drivers looking for a second profession title – Kevin Harvick, Kyle Busch and Brad Keselowski – together with the season’s most dominant driver, Martin Truex Jr., who’s received seven races and is looking for Cup crown No. 1.
Johnny Sauter is again to defend final yr’s Truck Collection title and could have veteran Matt Crafton to battle together with a pair of younger drivers, Austin Cindric and Christopher Bell.
JR Motorsports has claimed three spots in Saturday’s XFINITY Collection title race with Elliott Sadler, Justin Allgaier and William Byron. Richard Childress Racing’s Daniel Hemric rounds out the all-Chevrolet championship foursome.
Motor Racing Community will present stay flag-to-flag protection of all three races this weekend from Homestead-Miami Speedway.
Boat Awaits Ford EcoBoost 400 Winner
The driving force who takes the checkered flag in Sunday’s Monster Power NASCAR Cup Collection season finale can even take residence a novel prize: a Contender 25-foot bay boat. The uniquely South Florida prize has been awarded to the race winner of the Cup Collection finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway since 2013.
Chevrolet Claims XFINITY Collection Award
With William Byron’s victory at Phoenix Raceway on Saturday, Chevrolet clinched the Invoice France Efficiency Award within the NASCAR XFINITY Collection – marking the 18th time the “bowtie model” has captured the glory, greater than some other producer.
The triumph marks the third time Camaro has earned the award since changing into Chevrolet’s flagship nameplate within the XFINITY Collection in 2013.
Truck Collection Experience to Hill
Younger’s Motorsports introduced that Austin Hill will compete for the crew full-time within the NASCAR Tenting World Truck Collection in 2018. Hill, who has run a partial schedule with the crew this season, shall be paired with veteran crew chief Chad Kendrick and drive the No. 02 Chevrolet.
Younger’s Motorsports hopes to increase its presence subsequent season with a two-truck program. Particulars are anticipated to be introduced at a later date.
Hill’s greatest end in 12 begins this season is 10th place at Kentucky Speedway.
